Delegate Steve Heretick, a lawyer who represents Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Chesapeake in the General Assembly, announced his endorsement of Ramin Fatehi for Norfolk Commonwealth’s Attorney.
“I am glad to endorse Ramin Fatehi to be the next Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Norfolk. Ramin is a fair-minded prosecutor dedicated to equal justice for all of Norfolk’s citizens,” said Heretick, “Ramin is the clear choice to deliver equity and justice to Norfolk and to be a leader in the movement for criminal justice reform throughout Virginia. I am proud to stand with him.”
“I am honored to have earned the endorsement of my longtime friend Steve Heretick,” said Fatehi, “In 2019, when I was litigating the question of whether Greg Underwood and the Office of the Norfolk Commonwealth’s Attorney could dismiss marijuana-possession cases, Delegate Heretick introduced one of the first comprehensive bills to fully legalize and regulate marijuana Virginia. Delegate Heretick has continued to advocate for this important social-justice and public-safety issue and for the people of Norfolk. I am happy to have his support and to be his friend.”
Ramin Fatehi is a progressive prosecutor running to bring equity and safety to the citizens of Norfolk. The Democratic primary is June 9 with early voting beginning on April 23.
