Ironworkers Union Local 854 at Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NAV-SEA)—a branch of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers, AFL-CIO (IW)—has endorsed Ramin Fatehi for re-election as Norfolk Commonwealth’s Attorney.
In a time when federal employees and union protections are under threat from the Trump administration, Fatehi is committed to joining with workers to defend against the loss of dignity that comes with a lost job. He is especially proud to have the support of the workers who build and repair our Navy’s ships, and who serve the Armed Forces with integrity and a dedication to fulfilling the mission.
Ironworkers Local 854 NAV-SEA joins New Virginia Majority, Working Families Party, and Way to Lead in endorsing Fatehi’s campaign. Fatehi has also been endorsed individually by Congressman Bobby Scott, Speaker Don Scott, former Attorney General Mark Herring, former Delegate Algie Howell, former Councilmen Paul Riddick and Andy Protogyrou, former Norfolk School Board Chair Rodney Jordan, and former Norfolk School Board member Yvonne Wagner. Fatehi has additionally received the nonpartisan Gun Sense Candidate distinction for 2025 from Moms Demand Action.
Election Day is June 17. Early voting began May 2 and will continue through Saturday, June 14.
